A Historical Review of the Egun Tribe in Badagry: 1960 – 2015

There are untold accounts written by scholars on the history of Badagry town. Due to its historical importance subject Trans-Atlantic slave trade in Nigeria and rich tourism potential, town has aroused interest not only but visitors everywhere who come for reasons such as leisure, learning or unique purpose self-identity (genealogy). Conversely, much is known been about people reside town: The Egun ethnic group. this tribe wrapped up obscurity that assumed they do exist. Therefore, research work gives an explanatory note group Badagry. It covers post-colonial era period Nigeria, from independence 1960 2015. Data were obtained using a qualitative method(observations interviews).
